The Dallas Cowboys need to better than they did on Sunday if they want to beat RG3 and the Washington Redskins, this Thursday at 4:15 PM ET at Cowboys stadium.
Dallas came from a 0-13 deficit to beat the Cleveland Browns in overtime, but they didn’t look good at any point and started playing effectively too late in the match.
“I obviously need to hold onto the ball and not let the guy come from behind and let the ball come out,” Tony Romo said. “That could have been a big one”.
“Tony did a really good job of playing with poise,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said. “When you play quarterback, and you have a lot of negative plays … it’s easy to kind of get out of yourself and do some things you shouldn’t be doing”.
Romo was sacked seven times for 56 yards loss; their offensive line is one of the worst in the league.
The Skins simply had fun with the Eagles and beat them 31-6, easily. RG3 had 200 yards and four touchdown passes against Philadelphia.
“I’m tired of talking about Robert,” said Santana Moss. “Nothing’s going to change; Robert’s going to go out there and be special. That’s the gift that he has he’s a special guy. He brings that kind of `specialness.’ I don’t know if that’s a word, but he brings it to our offense.”
“We knew this game right here was going to be make or break for either one of our teams,” Washington linebacker London Fletcher said.
The Redskins have covered the last five times they visit Dallas; they are 3.5 underdogs on Thursday.
