There have been changes to the course this season. The 2023 race is unique in that it will not begin in Milan but rather in the town of Abbiategrasso. Following a 183-mile route, the race concludes in San Remo, with over 160 riders expected to compete.
Eddy Merckx holds the record for the most wins in La Primavera, having won the race in 1966, 1967, 1969, 1971, 1972, 1975, and 1976.
Although Merckx was dominant, the Milan-San Remo race has been considered by many as the easiest of the Monument classics to complete but the most challenging to win.
Wout Van Aert
Wout Van Aert has the shortest odds of winning the 2023 Milan-San Remo race compared to any other rider. This is largely due to his previous success in the event, taking home the title in 2020.
