Will Grand Theft Auto VI be delayed again? It’s set to launch on November 19, 2026. Rockstar Games confirmed the date after multiple delays pushed it from the fall of 2025. The game will release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox. A PC Version is expected sometime in 2027.
This is the most hyped game release I can remember. The game carries enormous weight for the industry. Analysts at DFC Intelligence are forecasting over $3.2 billion in first-year earnings. A couple of game developers have even reshuffled their own release calendars to avoid competing.
Fans are hungry for new footage. Only two cinematic trailers have been released since 2023. It’s been nearly 13 years since GTA V was released. Rockstar has confirmed that its marketing push begins this summer.
This seems to align with a popular fan theory that targets May 26th for a trailer drop. The date falls 177 days before launch, mirroring the Red Dead Redemption 2 rollout. Still, skepticism lingers after repeated delays. Some fans worry another postponement could be on the way.
Set in the fictional state of Leonida, GTA VI takes players back to Vice City. The story follows the dual protagonists, Lucia and Jason, through a criminal conspiracy. Rockstar has described it as its most ambitious open world yet.

Oddsmakers are confident that this trailer will not be released by the end of March. At +800 odds translates to an implied probability of just 11.11%. A winning bet returns nine times the wager. The payout is attractive on paper.
However, we have a couple of things working against the hopeful GTA VI fan. Rockstar has been silent since the second trailer dropped in May 2025. Take-Two confirmed the big marketing push starts this summer.
That timeline leaves little room for a March surprise. Most major game releases produce only two or three trailers in total. A release trailer typically arrives just weeks before launch.

There is also the terms and conditions working against the GTA VI fan eager to see this trailer. Markets require an officially labeled trailer to count. Teasers, gameplay clips or leaked footage would not qualify. I would have to agree with oddsmakers and industry insiders that summer brings the next trailer.
I would pass on the GTA VI trailer being released before the end of March at +800.

Are we in store for another postponement of GTA VI? Oddsmakers don’t think so, putting a -400 price on the “No” option. That’s an implied probability of 80% the game ships on time. The “Yes” sits at +250, which is an attractive price to skeptics.
Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reported that the game may not be content-complete. He noted that no one at Rockstar could guarantee the date with certainty.

The studio has already delayed twice in under a year. There have been employee firings and union disputes that have seemed to rattle internal morale at Rockstar North.

That said, Take-Two has publicly committed to a November 19th release date multiple times now. Sony and Microsoft have reportedly been told the game remains on schedule. The summer marketing campaign is currently being planned. While I understand what’s being said, I am not buying it.
Oddsmakers telling me I can get +250 odds on another GTA VI delay? Sign me all the way up. Even if this gets delayed by a few weeks, they won’t miss the holiday season, it will cash. This one seems too easy; this game is not releasing on time.
