The CS:GO PGL Major Antwerp competition is now a few days old, so let’s get some esports betting picks.
The PGL Major in Antwerp is a CS:GO (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) competition. It started on Monday, May 9th, and it runs until Sunday, May 22nd.
The bit of the competition we’re looking at here is the Legends Stage. This runs from the 14th to the 17th of May.

The Esports Betting Sites are offering prop bets on head-to-heads between selected teams across the Legends Stage, and that’s what we will be focusing on here.
Before we get onto that though, let’s take a look at esports betting in general.

In esports competitions, CS:GO can be played as an individual, or as a team. So for example in a CS:GO team game, there could be a 5-player team, taking on a fellow 5-player team.

Right, now let’s get some details about the competition, including where it’s at and when it’s taking place.

- Format; Swiss 16-team Group Stages x2. 8-team single-elimination playoff
The action this Saturday starts at 5 am ET, but that’s just the start. So don’t worry, there will be esports games taking place for a few hours.
The main head-to-head match-ups for the highest-rated team are:-
- FaZe Clan -125 v Natus Vincere +100
- Cloud 9 -125 v Heroic +100
- FURIA -115 v Ninjas in Pyjamas -105
- Copenhagen Flames -125 v BIG +100
All eight of these teams are only just joining in now as Legends. They will be joined by eight qualifiers from the Challengers Stage.
These are the big eight though. Having them up against each other in this betting market makes sense, as they’re more evenly matched.
The Challengers may find it more difficult, hence keeping them out of this particular market.
Of the Challengers, G2 and Vitality qualified as the two top performers. They finished the group in positions 1 and 2, both with 3-0 records.

Now, from the previously mentioned head-to-heads, let’s get some esports picks.
FaZe Clan the Team to Beat
When FaZe Clan met Natus Vincere just over a month ago, it was FaZe Clan who won 2-0 in the playoffs.
It’s not that relevant as this isn’t a match between the two, but it does suggest that it’s the Clan who are in better form heading into the competition.
FaZe Clan is regarded as one of the best esports teams in the world at the moment as well.
Therefore I can only make FaZe Clan to beat Natus Vincere in the head-to-head (finish higher in the table) my betting pick.

Expect BIG to continue its recent good form
Elsewhere, and Copenhagen Flames saw off Apeks and Entropiq in the qualifiers at the IEM Dallas, needing three Maps on both occasions.
They were well beaten by Mouz (16-3 and 16-10) in their final group qualifier though.
Mousesports (Mouz) also saw off BIG (16-13 and 19-17) at the same event, but with more difficulty than they defeated the Flames.
BIG also had an excellent win over Mouz at the same competition, and they also defeated FaZe Clan in a shock result to qualify for this event.
The 16-14 win over FaZe also sent BIG straight into the Legends Stage.
Therefore I’m going to go with BIG to continue in their improved form, and I make them my pick to beat Copenhagen Flames in the head-to-head.
