Piastri and Norris co-favored
Oscar Piastri (+135) and Lando Norris (+135) rode to a dominant 1-2 finish at the Miami Grand Prix, extending McLaren’s lead in the constructors’ standings to an enormous 105 points after just six races. Crossing the finish line 4.6 seconds ahead of his teammate, Piastri became the first McLaren driver to win three GPs in a row in a single season since the late great Ayrton Senna in 1991.
While Red Bull asked Max Verstappen’s teammates to pull over and let him pass in past years, McLaren says its drivers are free to race against each other. That should set up some fascinating results throughout the 2025 season.

Maxed out?
Max Verstappen (+600) has won the last three Emilia Romagna GPs. But the four-time defending Formula 1 champion has only one victory this year (Japan) despite capturing three poles through six F1 races.
Norris accused the Dutchman of “not racing very smart” after Verstappen potentially cost himself third-place in Miami by battling hard against both McLaren drivers. “I had nothing to lose, so I also just wanted to have a bit of fun out there,” responded the Red Bull driver.
Lucky longshots
George Russell (+1400) has made four trips to the podium in six GPs this season. However, the Mercedes driver’s third-place finish in Miami came a full 33 seconds behind the McLaren drivers, suggesting there’s still a significant competitive gap between the two teams.
Kimi Antonelli (+2500) secured the pole in last Saturday’s sprint, becoming at 18 years and 250 days, the youngest pole-sitter in any format in F1 history during the sprint. Keep an eye on Mercedes’ Italian rookie the rest of the way.

In-fighting at Ferrari?
Charles Leclerc (+2000) and Lewis Hamilton (+2500) crossed the line in Miami at P7 and P8, respectively, and have just one combined podium finish through six events. The seven-time world champion requested to swap positions with his teammate last Sunday. But his team’s slow decision-making cost him a chance to chase down Antonelli for sixth. That spurred Hamilton to tell his crew to “take a tea break while you’re at it.”
Best Bet
Is Oscar Piastri (+135) the unquestioned No. 1 at McLaren or has his British teammate just gotten unlucky to start the season? After he finished second at this track last year, we’ll take Lando Norris (+135) to pick up his sixth-career victory at the Emilia Romagna GP.
