Piastri and Norris battle it out

Oscar Piastri (+135) and Lando Norris (+160) have won seven of nine races this season with three one-two finishes. With a 197-point lead in the standings, McLaren will cruise to is second constructors’ title in a row. But the drivers’ championship is still anyone’s game. Norris’ win from pole in Monaco cut his teammate’s lead to just three points. However, Piastri executed a flawless race from pole position in Spain to build his lead back up to 10 points over Norris.

Could this be the weekend the two teammates duke it out? With a series of long straights into chicanes or hairpins, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve provides drivers with many overtaking opportunities.

Mad Max must be cautious

Max Verstappen (+500) has captured three checkered flags in a row at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, but he’ll have to be careful on Sunday. The four-time reigning Formula 1 champion collided with George Russell at the Spanish GP. In addition to earning a time penalty that demoted him to 10th place, Verstappen is now just one point away from an automatic race suspension.

His two penalty points won’t expire until after the Austrian GP, so he’ll have to be extra careful in Montreal this Sunday.

Mercedes in the mix?

George Russell (+1600) took pole position in Canada last year before racing to a third-place finish. The Englishman also scored a P4 in Montreal back in 2022. While he’s yet to win an event this year, Russell has made four trips to the podium in nine GPs. Sitting in 4th in the drivers’ standings, he’s 26 points back of third-place Verstappen.

Leclerc on the rise

Charles Leclerc (+1400) is coming off consecutive podium finishes in Spain and Monaco. He’s outperformed new teammate Lewis Hamilton (+1600) in all but one GP in 2025. The seven-time world champion has seven career victories in Montreal, but he’s yet to reach a podium with Ferrari.

Best Bet

With three straight Canadian GPs, Max Verstappen (+500) is a good value to capture his third race of the campaign. But this season has belonged to McLaren. We’ll take Lando Norris (+160) to win for the first time in Montreal after a strong second-place finish at this track last year.
