EPL Betting – West Brom at Leicester City

West Brom (+500) at Leicester City (-150), Draw (+280)

Leicester City, the Premier League’s surprise leaders, will look to keep their grasp on top spot in the EPL as they host West Brom today at Tuesday at King Power Stadium (2:45 PM Eastern).

Leicester have been the most improved team in England, and they enter this meeting with four wins in their last five matches. They fell to Arsenal in the last minute two weeks ago, but responded with a win over Norwich (1-0). With 56 points through 27 games, the Foxes are two points ahead of Tottenham and five clear of Arsenal. (The Spurs visit West Ham this week, while Arsenal host Swansea.)

Despite losing just once at King Power Stadium, Leicester haven’t looked totally comfortable at home this season. They have drawn four matches and look a little out of their element when pressing, instead of playing on the counter-attack as they do on the road.

That dynamic was on display against Norwich. The Foxes struggled to produce chances all game, needing an 89th minute winner from substitute Leonardo Ulloa to get the full three points.

The same could play out against West Brom. The Baggies are a middling 13th in the table but have a respectable defense (34 goals against through 27 games) and are playing their best soccer of the season right now. They downed Everton (1-0, away) and Crystal Palace (3-2, home) in their last two, putting the team a full 11 points clear of the relegation zone.

West Brom have also found success at King Power Stadium recently, winning their last two visits (1-0 and 4-1). It should be noted, though, that Leicester won the last two at the Hawthorns, both 3-2; and those setbacks at home came against a much different Leicester squad. This year’s iteration is a legitimate force and will put a stop to the run of visitor wins in this series. Expect an aggressive Leicester team to manage another 1-0 win.

Pick: Leicester (-150).
