BPL Betting – Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace

Manchester City (-350) vs. Crystal Palace (+1000) (Draw +450)

One of the best teams in the Premier League will square off with one of the worst on Saturday as Crystal Palace travels to Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City (7:45 a.m. Eastern) in the 17th fixture for both sides.

Looking at the moneyline, Manchester City is the heavy favorite to win this game, listed at -350. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace is at +1000 and the draw +450.

City and Palace have met 44 times before and City leads the series with 20 wins and 12 losses (plus another 12 draws).

The Sky Blues are currently second in the table, just three points back of Chelsea, which finally suffered its first loss of the year last week. Manchester City is 11-3-2 (36 points) on the year, and have won five straight heading into Saturday’s match.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace is way down in 16th place in the table with a 3-6-7 record (15 points). Palace is currently just one point out of the relegation spots in the Premier League and the team has not won since November 23.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini will have to live up to his nickname, the “Architect”, and build a winner without strikers Sergio Agüero, Edin Dzeko, and Stevan Jovetic, who have all been ruled out with injuries. One of the possibilities for Manchester City is playing with a “false nine”; David Silva, Samir Nasri, and James Milner are the candidates to assume the role.

Even accounting for the injuries, City is the superior squad and will be playing at home. Bet City to win by two goals.
