Detroit Tigers Future Predictions

Most people were wondering how the Detroit Tigers would react after long time manager Jim Leyland step down last season because despite the talent in the roster was undeniable, Leyland managing skills were hard to imitate: however new manager Brad Ausmus has done a heck of a job following the same line, and the team hasn’t looked better.

Ausmus best asset is his patient to get the results that according to his own players.

“When I was going through a tough time, (Ausmus) was patient with me, which I’m grateful for,” closer Joe Nathan said in an MLB Radio interview. “He’s still continuing to be patient with me. So I appreciate everything he’s done for me. And I think his approach as a manager helps us to relax and go out there and play the game.”

Detroit is fighting for the American League best record, right now behind the Oakland A’s by a couple of games but listed +250 to win the AL Pennant and get to the World Series.  The Tigers have more value than the A’s, who are the favorites rated +150, but have little experience getting far in the postseason.

There’s isn’t any value in betting the Detroit Tigers to win the AL Central Division listed -600, because they 7 games above the Kansas City Royals in the standings and it would have to happen something unprecedented for them to lose the lead, but the American League Pennant is a pretty fair bet at this point in the season.

“You try to win the game, try to win the battle, but you have to win the war,” Tigers coach Brad Ausmus explained.
