Eastern Conference Finals – Heat at Pacers, Game 2

The Indiana Pacers played almost the perfection in game one of the Eastern Conference against the Miami Heat, and they need to do the same this Tuesday to have a commanding lead in the series, when they meet at 8:30 PM ET at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, in game two.

Indiana won game one with an outstanding result 107-96 on Sunday, with Paul George finishing with 24 points and seven assists, David West added 19 points and seven rebounds.  “This is just a fun matchup,” George said. “It’s one that we’ve been waiting for all year.”

“There’s nothing to celebrate. It’s not like we won a championship. It’s one game,” point guard Hill said. “Yes, it was good, but if we come out and lay an egg on Tuesday, this game doesn’t mean anything.”

Miami looked awful at times, and as they were unprepared on Sunday; I don’t expect them to look the same this Tuesday.

“The game’s still so fresh. It’s too hard to just say, `Well, we need to do this better in Game 2,” James said after the Heat lost for just the second time in 10 playoff games. “We need to evaluate our mistakes and things we did in Game 1 first before I can say what we need to bring to Game 2.”

The NBA odds have the Miami Heat as 2.5 point favorites in game two as they were in game one.  The total is at 185 points.
