NBA Odds – Thunder at Grizzlies

The best NBA game of this Tuesday features the Oklahoma City Thunder visiting the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedExForum at 8 PM ET.

The Thunder is 28-9 this season, and 20-17 against the spread; they beat the Milwaukee Bucks in their last outing but had a two game losing streak before that.  They are trying to find somebody who can replace Russell Westbrook, and they are trying to do it with defense.

“All we wanted to focus on was defense,” Kevin Durant said. “We told the guys before the game, `Don’t worry about making shots or missing shots, just worry about locking in on defense,’ and I think they did a great job of that.”

OKC coach Scott Brooks expects his team to do better on both side of the ball. “We gotta play better offensive basketball,” coach Scott Brooks said. “We can miss shots, that’s one thing, but we have to give ourselves a chance to make shots.”

The Grizzlies are 17-19 this season, and 14-20-1 against the spread; they have won two in a row with wins at home over the Suns and the Hawks.

The recent change in Memphis’ game is the fact that Mike Conley has stepped up. “We weren’t getting to the rim,” Conley said. “We got just a little bit too lax at that stage of the game. We (the starters) just wanted to come in and act on that.”

Oklahoma City is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games when playing Memphis.  The NBA odds have OKC as the favorite by one point.
