March Madness Odds – Pittsburgh vs Colorado

The 25-9 Pittsburgh Panthers will clash against the 23-11 Colorado Buffaloes in the second round of March Madness, this Thursday at 1:40 PM at the Amway Center, in Orlando.

pittsburgh_panthers_2014Pittsburgh won five of their last seven games, but failed to beat the Virginia Cavaliers in the ACC tournament semifinals.  “Neither team really made that many mistakes”, Pittsburgh guard James Robinson said. “Every mistake that we did make, they capitalized on.”

The Panthers had a 12-15-4 record against the spread this season; they ended their last stretch with a 3-0-1 ATS mark.

Colorado has three wins and three losses in March; they were outplayed by Arizona 63-43 in the PAC-12 semifinals.

“I’m hoping to get in the tournament,” Colorado coach Tad Boyle said after the loss against the Wildcats. “I’m not going to be presumptuous and say we’re in because these guys weren’t with us three years ago when our team didn’t get in and deserved to get in. I think we’re in, but that’s not for me to decide or anybody else in this room to decide.”

The Buffaloes have an 18-15 against the spread record, but they failed to cover in two of the last three games they played.

The March Madness odds have Pittsburgh as 5.5 point favorites in the spread.  The Panthers are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 NCAA Tournament games, and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Thursday games. The Buffaloes are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 neutral site games.
