West Virginia Mountaineers +26 vs Alabama Crimson Tide +26 | 3:30 PM ET | Game total: 55.5.

Alabama had won 15 of the last 17 games, only losing to Auburn and Oklahoma last season.  They are coming for the title it used to be on their side; they have confident they can do it.

“We say players play without confidence, but to think that a guy can play with confidence when he doesn’t yet have knowledge is almost, like, stupid,” Alabama head coach Nick Saban said. “A player has to be able to develop knowledge and understanding of what he’s supposed to do for him to really have confidence in doing it. Somebody at the quarterback position who is in a new system, terminology and all that, that’s got to be a bit of a factor.”

The Mountaineers’ defense allowed at 455.0 per game last season; that will be a problem against a team like Alabama, who won have problems moving the ball.

Prediction: Bama -26.

Louisiana Tech Bulldogs +38 vs Oklahoma Sooners -38 | 7 PM ET | Game Total: 52

There isn’t much hope on what the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs can do in the first game of the 2014 College Football season when facing the Oklahoma Sooners, this Saturday.  Not only the spread is of 38-point difference, but the game total believes they won’t score much, setting the number at 52 points.

The Sooners have one dream and one dream only: playing for the national championship; any other outcome in the season will be disappointing.

“It’s where you want to be,” Sooners quarterback Trevor Knight said. “You look at the walls all around this place, that’s what’s happened before and where we want to be this year.”

“I don’t ever buy into whatever you did last year means you’re going to do this year,” Coach Bob Stoops said. “Some of the parts you feel good about are the number of guys that are back. It’s still going to be different in some areas, and it has to come together. You earn your stripes every year.”

Prediction: Over 52 points.

Wisconsin Badgers +5 vs LSU Tigers -5 | 9 PM ET | Game Total: 50.5

There are no games between these two programs, but LSU will look for a spot in the playoffs and Wisconsin’s dreams with a little less ambition.

“Our team understands that we have talented quarterbacks,” LSU head coach Les Miles said. “But right now they have not separated themselves, and we are not certain. If we were certain, then I promise you, we would play the one guy that would give us all the advantage.

LSU is 4-1 SU in its last five games, but 1-5 ATS in its last six games.

Prediction: LSU Tigers -5.
