Arguably the best game in College Basketball weekend features the Kentucky Wildcats visiting the Florida Gators, this Saturday at 12 PM ET at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center, in a SEC battle broadcasted by CBS.
Kentucky ranks 25th in the nation with a 22-8 record; however, they have stumbled over the last month with three losses in six games, one of them against the Gators. In their last outing, they managed to beat Alabama 55-48 with 12 points and 11 rebounds from Julius Randle.
“We felt like we just needed to get back on that path of just winning,” Wildcats Dakari Johnson said. “Just the feeling of how it feels to win, and I think it is a good start for us. Hopefully, we can just carry it on.”
Florida, on the other hand, is not only the number one ranked team in the country, but their last loss came on December 2 against UConn. They have won 22 games in a row, including a 72-46 beat down to the South Carolina Gamecocks on Tuesday.
“I still think there’s things in front of this team,” Gators coach Billy Donovan said. “We can’t get wrapped up in the moment.”
Florida is 7-3 SU and 6-3 against the spread in their last 10 games when playing at home against Kentucky. Also, the total has gone UNDER in 4 of Florida’s last 6 games when playing at home against the Wildcats.
