March Madness Final Four 2012: Ohio State vs Kansas Picks

Despite the fact that all the media attention is on the other series, Ohio State and Kansas will try to steal the show this Saturday when they clash at 8:49 PM ET for a spot in the March Madness final. The Buckeyes are two and a half point favorites in the sports betting odds.

Ohio State surprised the first seed Syracuse Orange 77-70 and managed to cover the 2.5 point spread. “We’re not going down to New Orleans for a vacation. It’s a business trip,” said sophomore forward Jared Sullinger. “These guys have played without me before, so they know what they have to do.”

Keep in mind, Jared Sullinger scored 15 of his 19 points in the second half, including nine points from the free throw line; the forward is has had a pretty decent tournament.

Also, consider Kansas beat Ohio State 78-67 back in December; the Buckeyes are 18-7 ATS in a revenge game during the same season.

The Jayhawks hammered North Carolina 80-67 as they scored lots of points in the last seconds of the match. Notice Kansas is 6-13 ATS off double digit win.

“This would have been a year, if we got to the second weekend (of the tournament), most Kansas fans would be happy. But that’s not how those guys think,” coach Bill Self said. “They think this is their year, and I’m certainly not going to tell them anything different.”

To be fair I don’t think Kansas has a match to guard Jared Sullinger at this point in the season. Take the Buckeyes to cover.
