NCAA Odds – College Football Playoff

And down the stretch they come!

There’s just over three weeks until the College Football Playoff selection committee announces this season’s final four. The process is already generating plenty of controversy and debate. Most agree Clemson, Alabama, and Ohio State are the three best teams – at least for now.

What if Clemson loses to North Carolina in the ACC Championship Game? What if Florida State beats Florida; then the Gators turn around and upset Alabama? Would the mighty SEC get left out all together?

Thankfully most of the uncertainty will be decided on the field. Every contender still has at least one marquee matchup and no team has cemented a spot in the CFP. However, when the semi-final games are announced on December 6, whoever is ranked fifth will have a boisterous and perhaps legitimate objection. Too many teams are too close for this to go down smoothly.

Nineteen schools still have at least a one-percent chance of receiving an invitation to the CFP. Below is a breakdown of the current odds for each contending team.
