The UCLA Bruins have not convinced in the start of this season and this Saturday, September 13th will seek their third victory when they visit the Texas Longhorns in the AT&T Stadium.

Memphis v UCLAThe UCLA Bruins have not convinced in the start of this season and this Saturday, September 13th will seek their third victory when they visit the Texas Longhorns in the AT&T Stadium.

UCLA is ranked 12th in the AP Poll after their wins over Virginia and Memphis and for this match is favorite by -7.5 in the NCAAF betting odds while the  game total is rated at 50.

These teams have met six times, and each has three wins. Their last game was in 2011 and the Longhorns got the victory in Los Angeles by 49-20.

The biggest problem of the team coached by Jim Mora has been its inconsistency, as in the first game they won thanks to their defense while their offense was the one with better performance in the second.

The Bruins have allowed 855 yards in two games, something that they will have to improve if they want to win in Arlington. On offense, quarterback Brett Hundley has 638 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

Texas comes from being beaten 41-7 by BYU and will have quarterback Tyrone Swoopes as their starter because David Ash will be out due to a concussion. Against the Cougars, he was at in first game with the Longhorns and threw for 176 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Charlie Strong’s team may also be without receiver Jaxon Shipley due to a head injury. The senior player has 2,012 yards and 10 touchdowns in his career.

UCLA should take advantage of the absences in Texas to win this game and prepare for the upcoming games against their Pac-12 rivals.
