The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will try to give the Clemson Tigers their second loss of the season when they clash this Thursday night at 7:30 PM ET at Memorial Stadium, in an ACC national televised matchup.
Georgia Tech is currently on a three game winning streak, but beating Clemson doesn’t look as an easy task to do.
“It’s certainly going to be a big challenge on Thursday night,” said Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson. “Clemson is a tough place to play and they’ve got a lot of explosive athletes. … We look at it as an opportunity to go in and measure ourselves as a team and see if we’ve made the progress we feel we’ve made in the past couple of weeks.”
The Tigers only loss came against Florida State; they are on a two game winning streak since then. They have the 10th best passing team in College Football with 332.7 yards per game, led by QB Tajh Boyd.
“The guys deserve all the credit because they have gotten themselves ready and have found ways to win games,” coach Dabo Swinney said. “This is the most complete game that we have had. This team will be judged based on how we finish, but we had a good start to November.”
Georgia Tech is 5-2 SU in its last 7 games when playing Clemson, but the betting odds have the Tigers as 10.5 point favorites for Thursday Night. The game total was set at 59 points.
