Both the Minnesota Vikings and the NY Giants could use a win when they meet on Monday night football at MetLife stadium, in the last game of week 7 at 8:30 PM ET.
The Vikings will have new QB Josh Freeman leading the way. He will start after being on the roster for about two weeks.
“Any time you step into a situation where you’re the new guy, there’s always kind of an awkward getting-to-know-you phase,” Freeman said. “But I think that goes back to the character of this organization just from top to bottom — a lot of quality people that are dedicated to winning first and foremost. So it’s been a smooth adjustment.”
However, the key to win is Adrian Peterson as the NY Giants are the 27th ranked team stopping the run.
In order to win, the Giants need avoid mistakes, especially QB Eli Manning who leads the league in interceptions with 15.
“It’s not fun playing this game and losing and not feeling like you’re helping your team,” Manning said. “But it’s not going to change the way I treat each day or treat each practice and treat the games. I’m going to compete. I’m going to work hard and do whatever I can do to try to put our team in a situation to win a game.”
Minnesota is 4-1 straight up and against the spread in their last 5 games when playing on the road against NY Giants. The point spread has the G-Men as 3.5 favorites, and the game total is at 47.
