What should be a fun preseason game to watch this Saturday has the Tennessee Titans taking on the Atlanta Falcons, at 7 PM ET at the Georgia Dome, in week three.

Both teams are 1-1 in the preseason and have a lot to work on if they want to have a good 2014.  Atlanta has a lot of tools to become a playoffs contender team in the NFC, but protecting QB Matt Ryan should be their number one priority.

Falcons head Mike Smith also pointed out that he’s tired of the amount of penalties on each week that is making the game too slow.

“A lot of it has to do with the points of emphasis that the league has put out this offseason,” Smith said. “Illegal contact and hands to the face are probably the two biggest points of emphasis. They are definitely calling it differently.”

For the Titans is about getting QB Jake Locker ready for week one when they face Kansas City; yet, it has been rookie Zach Mettenberger who has looked the best and will have more work against Atlanta.

“Obviously, they see the stat line, and they look pretty good,” said Mettenberger, a sixth-round draft pick out of LSU. “But I know there are a lot of things that I need to work on before I can consider myself a good player in this league.”

The NFL point spread listed the Falcons as 3.5 points favorites over the Titans, and the game total was rated at 44.5.
