Atlas

The Atlas was one of the top-scoring teams in the PLL in 2022 (128). The team was also strong on defense, finishing the season with a scoring differential of +20. However, the team fell in the opening round of the playoffs, losing to the Waterdogs 19-14.

If you want to key in on a player for the Atlas in the six-on-six format, watch Bryan Costabile. The midfielder has a good mix of offense and defense that should help him and his club during the 2023 Championship Series. Costabile’s ability to score two-point goals, he has 19, will help him and the Atlas. The fact that Romar Dennis also has 19 two-point goals makes the Atlas more dangerous in this format.

Archers

The Archers finished the 2022 PLL regular season as the top-scoring team (130), while also doing a good job of preventing goals, finishing the season with a +20 scoring differential. The team made it to the Semifinals of the 2022 playoffs, where the Chaos eliminated them.

Matt Moore is the player to keep an eye on for the Archers in the six-on-six format. He is one of the best midfielders in the game today. Moore had 20 points in 10 games in 2022 with 15 goals and five assists. He is a very versatile player thanks to his background as an attacker when he played in college at UVA.

Whipsnakes

The Whipsnakes were not the highest-scoring team in the PLL in 2022, but they allowed the fewest goals against and finished the 2022 season tied for the league lead in scoring differential at +20. Despite the team’s regular season success, they were eliminated by the Waterdogs in the playoff Semifinals.

Brad Smith is one of the players to watch for the Whipsnakes. The midfielder was one of the top goal-scorers for the team in 2022 and he also proved himself adept at picking up assists during the season.

Chrome

The Chrome wrapped up the 2022 PLL regular season in the middle of the pack in scoring, but allowed the second-fewest goals on the year. The team had a scoring differential of +18 on the season. Unfortunately, the playoffs were not kind to the club, as the Chaos eliminated them in the first round by the Chaos 11-3.

Justin Anderson is the Chrome player to watch during the 2023 Championship Series. He had a great year in 2022 with 21 points and a shooting percentage of 38 percent. With more space than usual in the six-on-six format and the ability to shoot with both hands, Anderson will be a big factor for his team.
