France is the favorite to win Group E, but four years ago in South Africa they left the tournament in after being eliminated at the group stage; they need a win against the Central Americans in order to face Ecuador and Switzerland later in the competition.

“We’ll have spent several weeks together between the start of our preparations and the end of the tournament. The squad dynamic and the mentality of the players will be essential. That’s not what wins you matches, but I don’t think you can get results without that either,” said coach Didier Deschamps.

“What’s important is this World Cup, and then Euro 2016 in France. Our team must always be ambitious and aim to be as competitive as possible. We’ll go to Brazil with the desire to progress as far as possible.”

For Honduras is about not getting too many goals against and scoring at least one goal in the tournament; they left South Africa 2010 without a goal scored.

“We have no excuse not to know everything about France, the champions of 1998, with all the videos that (manager) Luis Fernando Suarez has shown us,” said Honduras Wilson Palacios.

“We know that’s the advantage we have. We know they do not know much about us.”

France is rated -275 to win the game and Honduras is +1200; the draw is at +400.
