Uruguay lost to Costa Rica in the opener, but fought back to beat England and Italy in the next two games; however, their biggest problem is not Colombia, is the fact that striker Luis Suarez will miss the rest of the tournament because a suspension.

“It is not wise, at least it is not prudent to be in an organization with people who exerted pressure in order to promote this decision,” said Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez about Suarez suspension.

“Who wins, who loses? Who benefits, who is harmed? Who ended up getting things their way?” Tabarez said.

Colombia won group C after beating Greece, Ivory Coast and Japan; their last game against the Asian team proved to be a glimpse of what the Colombians can do in this tournament; they played fantastically and looked unstoppable.

“Listen, at this time this is a very delicate issue,” Pekerman said when asked about Suarez. “But our concern is Uruguay as a team and we are working in order to play against them tomorrow. That’s all there is to say.”

The World Cup odds for this game have Colombia +115 to win and Uruguay +310; the draw was listed at +250, according to the money line.
