When Is The 2022 Masters?
Mark your calendars for April 7 because that’s when the 2022 Masters starts. It will run all the way until April 10. As always, the Augusta National Golf Course in Georgia will play hosts. The course and event are seeped in tradition — no cell phones on the course and of course, the famed pimento cheese sandwich. ESPN and CBS will split the TV coverage. The first two days will air live on ESPN before CBS gets the last two days of action.

Aside from a three-year period during World War 2, the Masters has been an annual event since 1934. And if there’s one takeaway from almost 90 years of history, it’s that this tournament is painstakingly difficult to win — for players and bettors alike. Difficult, but worth it if it can be done. John Rahm
Look, we’re not even going to overthink this bet and just take the No. 1-ranked player in the entire tour. And if it feels like Rahm is always in the mix to win tourneys, it’s because he is. He finished at least top-8 in all four majors a year ago, including an outright win at the U.S. Open (his first-ever major title). In 2022, Rahm has continued that hot streak. Here’s where he has finished as of late — second (Tournament of Champions), third (Farmers Insurance Open), and tenth (Phoenix Open). Take Rahm for one of your bets and don’t think about it twice.
Collin Morikawa
At its core, Augusta National is a second-shot golf course. Therefore, it’s a smart idea to wager with an iron player — and there’s perhaps no one better than Morikawa in that category. With two majors in the last 18 months, you also know the “moment is NOT too big” for Morikawa, in spite of his 25 years of age. He’s currently ranked No. 2 in the world and like Rahm, there’s little to poke in his game right now, which makes him a solid bet.
Brooks Koepka
Bettors aren’t all that high on Koepka at The Masters, especially after missing the cut a year ago. For those bettors, we need to remind you that before that, he finished top-11 at Augusta the three years prior. More times than not, the 30-year-old Koepka brings his A-game when a green jacket is on the line. We like Koepka as a mid-level longshot, especially since our other two picks were consensus favorites at the top betting sites for golf. Look into Koepka if you want a larger payday.
Is Tiger Words Worth A Masters Bet?
Anytime it’s a major, this question inevitably comes up from casual bettors: is Tiger “back”? Should I bet on him to win? These questions are even more prevalent at The Masters — the major in which Tiger has the most career wins at (five, which includes his most recent victory in 2019). So it’s only fair we tell you whether Woods is a worth bet at the Masters or not.
We’ll here to tell you emphatically— no, you shouldn’t bet on Woods at Augusta. Heck, we don’t even know whether Woods will compete at the tournament. Aside from the father-son PNC Championship, Woods hasn’t played a PGA event since his horrific car accident over a year ago. While Woods is adamant he’ll be back at some point, when recently asked whether he’ll be in the Masters, he was noncommittal saying “whether I do or not, I don’t know.”
Let’s assume Woods does play at Augusta. Do you think he’ll be in top form after a year-and-half layoff from competing? If your answer is yes, then I have some sand to sell you in the Sahara desert. Save your money and skip betting Woods here. The aforementioned golfers we mentioned are much better bets than Tiger!
