Following an exciting 2025 Masters where Rory McIlroy became the sixth player to win golf’s Grand Slam, the PGA Tour heads to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, for this week’s 2025 RBC Heritage. The event has a prize pool of $20 million. Of that, $3.6 million and 700 FedEx Cup points will be awarded to the winner. Scottie Scheffler won the 2024 RBC Heritage. He defeated Sahith Theegala. Scheffler looks to become the first player to win the event in back-to-back years since Boo Weekley achieved that feat in 2007 and 2008. Seven players have won the RBC Heritage twice, while two have three wins. Davis Love III is the winningest player in the event’s history, with five wins between 1987 and 2003.

The RBC Heritage was first held in 1969, and Arnold Palmer won the event.

The RBC Heritage is one of eight Signature Events on the PGA Tour. The tournament features a limited field, no cut, and increased prize money. The next Signature Event is the Truist Championship in early May.

Collin Morikawa betting breakdown

Collin Morikawa, the No. 4 ranked player in the Official World Golf Rankings, has not won a PGA event since he won the Zozo Championship in October 2023. Despite his drought, the 28-year-old is among the betting favorites to claim his first RBC Heritage win. Morikawa is playing statistically superb golf this year, and he is coming off a strong showing at The Masters, where he was tied for 14th. Other than The Masters, Morikawa has played in five events in 2025, with two runner-up finishes (The Sentry, Arnold Palmer Invitational). He has also tied for 10th (The Players), while finishing no worse than 17th in any of the events he has competed in.

Morikawa has two top-10 finishes on this course.

Morikawa ranks second in strokes gained (2.180), and 11th in strokes gained off the tee (0.538). He is first in strokes gained: approach to green (1.192) and 59th in strokes gained: putting (0.182).

Xander Schauffele betting breakdown

Xander Schauffele is the No. 3 ranked player in the world heading into this week’s tournament. The 31-year-old has nine career PGA wins. His most recent victory came in July 2024 when he won The Open Championship. The victory was the second of the year for the American, who also won the PGA Championship in May of that year. Schauffele is coming off an excellent performance at The Masters, where he finished tied for eighth. He finished tied for 18th in this event last year.

Schauffele is heating up ahead of this week’s event. He’s played in four tournaments outside of The Masters, and he was tied for 12th in the Valspar Championship in March. If he can keep up the same level of play heading into this week, Schauffele is someone to consider for your betting pick to win the RBC Heritage event in 2025.

Schauffele ranks 130th in strokes gained (-0.317), and 161st in strokes gained off the tee (-0.421). He is third in strokes gained: approach to green (1.022),= and 164th in strokes gained: putting (-0.574).

Ludvig Aberg betting breakdown

Ludvig Aberg is currently the No. 5 ranked player on the Official World Golf Rankings. The 25-year-old is one of the betting favorites to win the 2025 Heritage RBC following his seventh-place finish at the 2025 Masters.

One of the best ball strikers in the game, the young player has one win in seven events played in 2025, finishing first at the Genesis Invitational. However, he failed to make the cut in his two starts before The Masters, missing at the Players Championship and the Valero Texas Open. Despite his recent struggles, it’s worth considering Aberg after his performance at the 2025 Masters.

Aberg was tied for 10th in this event in 2024.

Aberg ranks 68th in strokes gained (0.248), and eighth in strokes gained off the tee (0.579). He is 96th in strokes gained: approach to green (-0.004), and 118th in strokes gained: putting (-0.125).
