The Pebble Beach is a great preliminary tournament leading up to the Masters in early April. We head to the Monterey Peninsula, between February 11th-14th, as some of the sports best compete for the big prize.
This years’ event will not feature amateurs as it usually does and will be played on two courses, with the event taking place on Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach.
We’ve assessed the verdict from all the best online sportsbooks and will have our golf experts make some predictions about how the tournament might unfold. We will see old favorites such as Phil Mickelson and 2015’s world number 1 Jason Day.
We’ll make some free picks for the Invitational, assessing the talent and who is in-form at the moment. Sadly, we won’t see the current world number Dustin Johnson, who recently dropped out of the event. But, who will it be to win the big prize this year?

Patrick Cantlay to win (+750)
It’s Patrick Cantlay who starts out as the favorite in the bookmakers’ eyes across most top-tier providers. He finished second at the American Express tournament at the end of January and is playing some great golf.
Cantlay’s recent performance in the tournament is what has given him the boost in odds. Cantlay performed well enough to earn a win at the Zozo Championship at Sherwood Country Club, California. The event usually takes place in Japan, but given the travel restrictions, it was held in the US.
Cantlay will be up against some stiff competition in the form of Paul Casey, Daniel Berger, and Francesco Molinari, among others, but certainly has the tools to come away with the win at the Pro-Am 2021.

Jordan Spieth (+2200)
Jordan Spieth is a long shot at +2200, but Spieth seems criminally underrated in the eyes of the oddsmaker. We feel he should be much closer to the favorite.
This certainly makes a ‘Spieth to Win’ wager much more interesting. He managed to win at the Waste Management Phoenix Open recently, which ended a long winless drought for the 27-year old.
Spieth is finding his feet again and looks to be in contention in this one, given the rest of the field. The three-time major champion will be keen to keep adding to his tally of wins for 2021 and will come with new momentum this year.

Paul Casey (+1600)
Paul Casey is the second-favorite in the golf betting odds for AT&T at Pebble Beach. He’s recorded 20 professional victories and is playing a great game at the moment, picking up t-12 or better in his last two tournaments.
He managed an 8th place finish at the American Express in January but has failed to crack the top-30 for his last few PGA Tours.
His inconsistency is something that will always affect his ranking. At 43, Casey it’s questionable how much longer he’ll continue to play.
Although the odds are favorable it feels like there’s much more value in the rest of the field. However, if he can play as he has been lately, there might be something to this one.
