Next up on the PGA Tour is the Farmers Insurance Open. Spanning four days, starting January 26th, the field will take to La Jolla, California, to play for a share of the $6.7 Million purse. The tournament will be played on two courses, the North and South Course.
The storyline this year is the return of Tiger Woods, who has previously won the event a record seven times. It is also the location of his most recent major win, the 2008 U.S. Open, which was held on the South Course.
It remains to be seen how Tiger will fare against the new stars of the PGA. Will he take his eighth win or will the young guns be too much?

Odds to win the 2017 Farmers Insurance Open:
Dustin Johnson: 4/1
Last year’s U.S. Open winner leads the pack coming into La Jolla. With one of the longest drives on tour, Johnson will have an advantage playing the long South Course. He’s fresh off a second-place finish in Abu Dhabi, where he showed why he won 2016’s PGA Player of the Year.
Jason Day: 15/1
The ten-time PGA tour winner is back to contest the title he won in 2015. The form of the injury-prone Australian leaves a lot to be desired, though. His 12th-place finish at the Tournament of Champions suggests he has not completely recovered from the injuries that hampered him in 2016.
Hideki Matsuyama: 11/1
The young Japanese golfer finished 2016 with a bang, winning the WGC-HSBC Champions, Taiheiyo Masters, and Hero World Challenge to close out the year. And he rolled into 2017 on the same high, with a second place finish at the Tournament of Champions.
Brandt Snedeker: 20/1
Last year’s winner is back but so far his year has been lacking. He flamed out at the Sony Open and finished 14th at the Tournament of Champions. He’s one of the few players to have won the event twice, taking the title in 2012 and 2016.
Tiger Woods: 28/1
The seven-time Farmers Insurance Open winner is back! The last time Tiger won the tournament was by four strokes in 2013. Before that, he won by eight in 2008. But while the golfing world would love to see the old star shine once again, it’s looking more and more unlikely.
