The second major of the 2025 PGA season takes place this week as a strong field heads to Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, for the 2025 PGA Championship. The first major of the year, the 2025 Masters, saw Rory McIlroy make history when he became the sixth golfer to complete a career Grand Slam. Even without that win, McIlroy would have been one of the betting favorites at the 2025 PGA Championship, having won on this course four times heading into 2025. Last year, the PGA Championship was held at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, Xander Schauffele won the event.

The prize pool for the 2025 PGA Championship has not been announced at this time, but last year’s pool was $18.5 million, with Schauffele taking home $3.3 million for his victory.

No player has won the PGA Championship in back-to-back years since 2018-19 when Brooks Koepka did so. Koepka picked up a third win in 2023. Jack Nicklaus and Walter Hagen are tied for the most PGA wins with five.
