Best Masters Bets: Who do Sportsbooks Favor?
Scottie Scheffler remains the favorite to win the 90th Masters Tournament despite his recent struggles. The two-time Masters winner is (+450), a massive difference against the rest of the group. A second tier follows: McIlroy (+1100), Jon Rahm (+1200), and Bryson DeChambeau (+1200). Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Aberg, Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick and Tommy Fleetwood all sit under (+3000) as well.

Can Cam Young Leverage The Players Victory in Masters?
This year’s Players champion Cameron Young is moving up the odds boards quickly, and with good reason. Young is making his 5th Masters start and has already scored two top-10 finishes in the last three years. He currently sits at the top of the FedEx Cup race brimming with confidence. Young also leads the PGA TOUR in par-5 scoring. Par-5 domination has been a recurring key to victory at Augusta.
Young’s weaknesses are few in far between, but he does lag a bit behind the elites in terms of greens-in-regulation. The now-world number 4 looks to be in prime position to challenge at Augusta this year despite a missed cut in 2025. Young will likely see his line shorten as we get closer to April 9, so I wouldn’t delay too long here.
Bryson DeChambeau Gearing Up for Masters
There are plenty of LIV names worth keeping an eye on in this year’s Masters, and arguably the best candidate to hoist the trophy in 2026 is Bryson DeChambeau. “The Scientist” has won back-to-back LIV golf tournaments in Singapore and South Africa, the last via a playoff against 2023 Masters winner Jon Rahm. Now DeChambeau travels to Augusta where he has finished in the top six in each of the past two Masters. The course fit and current-form momentum are clearly there, making DeChambeau a strong bet to win it all.
Alternative paths to backing DeChambeau include top-5 placements or top-10 placements. And considering his consistency at Augusta, it’s hard to argue against any plus-money on DeChambeau to finish in the top 10 again. In fact, I’d lean in that direction rather than a more boom-or-bust style outright.
Odds are accurate at time of writing but subject to change.
Best Masters Bets: Placements for Schauffele, Rose
The Masters is a great tournament for more casual golf bettors to take advantage of because there is more predictability in the results. Bettors can feel a bit more comfortable betting on players with strong course histories as the variance is low. Xander Schauffele represents one of those guys who just seems to love playing at Augusta National.
Schauffele is making his ninth start at the Masters. He has finished in the top 10 in five of the past seven years, and just finished 3rd at The Players. While his par-5 scoring isn’t amongst the best, he has a solid 0.542 strokes gained on approach. Keep an eye on Schauffele;s odds when top-10 markets are released; he should be a safe bet to play late on Sunday.
Along with Schauffele, Justin Rose is a consistent presence atop the leaderboard at the Masters. The wily British veteran is invited to his 21st Masters, coming off a heartbreaking loss to McIlroy in a playoff last year. Rose is one of only nine players with at least three Masters runners-up finishes. He also boasts 15 top-25s in 20 Masters starts.
A dominant 0.755 shots gained on approach is exactly the kind of iron profile bettors can trust with their hard-earned money at Augusta. With a wire-to-wire win also already in the books in 2026, it’s hard to go wrong betting on Rose this year. He has the experience and form necessary to make yet another run for a green jacket. Look to back Rose in top-20 or top-10 placement markets.
Should You Bet on Collin Morikawa?
Morikawa’s case for a 2026 Masters win is interesting. On one hand, he has five consecutive top-20 finishes at Augusta and is one of the best approach players in the world. On the other hand, Morikawa withdrew from the The Players Championship after just one hole due to a lingering back injury. The 2021 Open champion checks every box to win a green jacket, but a back injury is nothing to take lightly.
Morikawa hopes to return at the Valero Texas Open, the classic tune-up tournament before the Masters. I would avoid betting him until we see him tee off outside San Antonio. If he’s back to himself by that Sunday, he’ll be worth a shot at Augusta. Until then, it’s hard to say if Morikawa will even play, and this early before the Masters, most sportsbooks consider any outright wagers as having “action,” meaning any withdrawals are still graded as losses.
