MLB Odds -Yankees at Orioles Friday Night

Yankees and Orioles will clash in a three game short series that should be really interesting in terms on what would unfold for the American League East division. David Phelps for New York and Kevin Gausman for Baltimore are listed to be on the mountain, this Friday at 7:05 PM ET.David Phelps Yankees

Phelps has been a little better than Gausman posting a 5-4 record so far this season with a 4.01; he’s looking to stay in Yankees rotation despite the fact that Michael Pineda could be back anytime soon.

I was trying to get a ground ball or a soft fly ball,” Phelps said after he allowed two runs on eight hits, walking one and striking out four over 5.2 innings of a 6-2 win against the Rays a week ago. β€œI was trying to let the defense work as much I could today. β€œThey picked me up when I needed them to. Some outfielders ran down some deep fly balls, and they just fought at the plate and got us the lead, and we held on to it.”

Kevin Gausman is 0-3 this season with a 7.66 ERA.

The Orioles need to wake up as they behind the Boston Red Sox in the division standings, and have lost five of the last six in series against the Toronto Blue Jays and the Cleveland Indians.

The Yankees bullpen is not matchup for the Baltimore Bats, but for this first game in the series Gausman seems like he won’t be able to handle New York’s lineup, giving the edge to the Yankees.

Both New York and Baltimore are 3.5 behind the Red Sox.
