National League Championship Series -Dodgers at Cardinals Game 6

The Dodgers are facing elimination for the second game in a row, that’s why they sent star pitcher Clayton Kershaw for a crucial game 6 at Busch Stadium, this Friday at 8:30 PM ET.

National League Championship Series -Dodgers at Cardinals Game 6The problem for Kershaw is that he’s facing Michael Wacha, a rookie right hander who has been untouchable over the last four starts, including game two where he beat the Dodgers best card.

“I just expect Michael to go out and do what he’s done, just like the rest of our guys,” Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said. “Stick with what you’ve done all along the way, and don’t ignore and don’t deny the excitement.”

Kershaw is 1-2 in the postseason despite posting a 2.88 ERA.

“Kershaw’s a tough pitcher, obviously, and you saw that in his last start,” Wacha said. “But I try not to worry too much about who I’m facing.

“Just try to approach it like any other start and just worry about myself, really.”

Wacha is 2-0 with a 0.64 ERA in this postseason; he has been outstanding in every possible way.

“He obviously handles himself pretty well,” Kershaw said. “I don’t think nerves is going to be the issue for him.”

Kershaw is the underdog for Friday listed +125 in the moneyline while Wacha is -145.  The game total is 5.5 runs.

Five of the last six games between the Cardinals and Dodgers have ended UNDER the runs total.
