Best Bets in National League
Milwaukee to make the playoffs (+160). After signing the second baseman Kolten Wong and center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr., the Brewers now have four former Gold Glove winners on their roster. This improved defense should only help a pitching staff that boasts two bonafide aces in right-handers Corbin Burnes (4-1, 2.11 ERA in nine 2020 starts) and Brandon Woodruff (3-5, 3.05, 13 starts).
Another year removed from fracturing his knee cap, 2018 NL MVP Christian Yelich should also bounce back from a down 2020 season. If you think he will take Milwaukee to win the NL Central at +300 on Bovada.

Best bets in American League
Houston to miss the playoffs (+100). Coming off a season in which they posted their first losing record since 2014, the Astros lost George Springer to the Jays in free agency and will likely be without Justin Verlander for the entire campaign after he underwent Tommy John surgery.
They’re also relying on Alex Bregman, Jose Altuve, and Carlos Correa to bounce back from down years, but that might not happen considering ‘cheating’ played a large role in their productivity in the first place.
One year later, José Altuve is still getting booed.

Los Angeles Angels to make the postseason (+170). It’s probably a fool’s errand to wager on Mike Trout to play October baseball for the first time since 2014, but this team will score in bunches with a healthy Shohei Ohtani and Anthony Rendon in the order. And offseason acquisitions Jose Quintana and Alex Cobb should help shore up the rotation.
If you’re feeling bullish, the better value might be taking Los Angeles to win the AL West at +375 on BetOnline.
