With Marc absent and Alex motivated to be the reference point rather than following his brother’s, he has the machinery and momentum to claim his second victory in three races. His priority, however, remains finishing strong to carry positive momentum into Tuesday’s post-race test, where he’ll debut his new factory-specification Ducati GP26 for the first time.
I would pass on Marquez at this track, I think Bezzecchi is the better bet here.

Marco Bezzecchi arrives in Valencia full of confidence after dominating the Portimão round with pole position, a sprint podium, and victory in the main race. The Aprilia rider’s recent form has been exceptional, and he now hopes to secure third place in the MotoGP riders’ standings.
Bezzecchi is in high spirits and determined to finish the year on a high note in MotoGP, particularly as he holds a 35-point advantage over Francesco Bagnaia in the battle for third. His prospects look strong, as if Bezzecchi finishes sixth or better in the sprint race, Bagnaia’s chances of overtaking him will be eliminated.

While his best finish in Valencia has been 11th place in 2022, his current momentum tells a different story. Bezzecchi acknowledged that Marc Márquez’s absence removes one very strong rival from the MotoGP race, potentially opening the door for another victory.
The Italian hopes to complete his first career Sprint and GP double at Valencia MotoGP, which would send a powerful message heading into 2026 when he dreams of challenging for the championship with Aprilia’s continuously improving machinery.

Pedro Acosta
Pedro Acosta would not be a surprise first-time winner, with the young Spaniard being a fitting addition to the honor roll after a string of brave, battling performances on a KTM that’s been difficult to handle all year.
KTM is still relying on Pedro Acosta, the only rider from the Mattighofen factory to have consistently been at the front. Acosta arrives in Valencia fifth in the championship standings, though his hopes of finishing third in the standings have officially ended.
Former MotoGP star Dani Pedrosa highlighted Acosta’s impressive third-place podium finish at Portimão AutoHebdo and has even made a playful wager that he’ll dye his hair orange if Acosta wins in Valencia. Acosta is among the five riders on the grid who could claim their first MotoGP victory this weekend.

Despite the challenges with the KTM machinery this season, the Spanish rider’s raw talent and determination make him a genuine contender on home soil, where Spanish riders have historically dominated the Valencia circuit.
I would pass on Acosta at this track at this price.
Francesco Bagnaia
Francesco Bagnaia emerges as an intriguing dark horse despite a nightmare 2025 campaign that has seen him struggle to accept the reality of finishing fourth with 288 points in MotoGP. The two-time champion has admitted he never adapted to the Ducati GP25, acknowledging that while the bike has great potential, as Marc Márquez demonstrated, it has been challenging for him personally in MotoGP.
Bagnaia has achieved two podium finishes at Valencia in his MotoGP career, demonstrating his ability to extract pace from the circuit. He needs to win both the sprint race and main race to have any mathematical chance of catching Bezzecchi for third place, but only if Bezzecchi scores no points in either session.

While the odds seem long, Bagnaia has stated his goal for Valencia is to return to competitiveness and use the race weekend and to rediscover his form.
His methodical racing approach and smooth riding style remain formidable assets, and with nothing to lose, the Italian might surprise with a farewell flourish to a forgettable season.
