As MotoGP heads into Round 16 at San Marino, Marc Marquez’s win streak has ended—but the Marquez family’s success continues.
At the Catalan Grand Prix, Marc, the series leader, finished behind another rider for the first time since May—his younger brother, Alex Marquez.
Before the Catalan round, Marc had ridden for the Ducati Lenovo factory team and had won seven consecutive races this season.
With his most recent win before Catalonia, he reached a season total of nine wins in 2025 and extended his championship lead to 182 points.

Marc Marquez
With 487 points, Marc Marquez holds a commanding lead in the riders’ championship. Meanwhile, trailing Marc, Alex Marquez claims second place with 305 points, while Francesco Bagnaia follows closely in third with 237 points.
Turning to the teams’ standings, the Ducati Lenovo Team leads the way with 724 points. BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP Team is second with 432 points, and Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team is third with 322 points.
On the constructors’ side, Ducati continues to dominate with 541 points. Aprilia follows in second with 239 points, and KTM rounds out the top three with 237 points.

Marc Marquez enters the San Marino Grand Prix as the defending champion. In the event’s last five races, however, four different riders have claimed victory.
Building on this success, Marquez, who holds the record for most wins at this circuit among MotoGP riders, has secured seven victories overall.
His four MotoGP triumphs at San Marino occurred in 2015, 2017, 2019, and most recently in 2024. I would take Marquez to win this race at this price.
Alex Marquez
Alex Marquez delivered a sensational Catalan Grand Prix, seizing pole position, lighting up the timing sheets with the fastest lap, and storming across the finish line to claim victory.

This momentum comes after a challenging stretch around the summer break, which included a hand fracture at Assen.
Building on this recent success, Alex described his Catalunya win as a much-needed boost—particularly with Misano on the horizon, a circuit where he has traditionally struggled in the premier class.
His best MotoGP result at Misano is sixth place, achieved at last year’s San Marino Grand Prix. I like the odds of +400 here. I think Alex is the play.
Francesco Bagnaia
Bagnaia has left an indelible mark on the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli record books.
The Italian holds the record for most poles (four), the fastest qualifying time (1:30.031), the all-time fastest lap (1:30.031), and the fastest race lap (1:30.877)—with all but the pole record set during last year’s event.

Bagnaia also captured back-to-back San Marino Grand Prix victories in 2021 and 2022. Bagnia needs another strong finish if he wants to keep his spot with Ducati.
At +1100 odds it is tempting but I would pass on Bagnaia at this race.
Enea Bastianini
Riding high from his first Grand Prix podium with the Red Bull KTM Tech3 team at the Catalan Grand Prix, Enea Bastianini charges into the San Marino Grand Prix brimming with confidence.
Building on the momentum from his recent podium, the Italian rider enters Misano with a proven track record of success, having consistently delivered strong performances as a Ducati rider.
