The Kyle Larson No. 5 car was quite good on the dirt last year. It was only when Christopher Bell spun into him which effectively ended the chances of either racer contending. Larson can race on anything but this caked on dirt seems to suit the Hendrick Motorsports Racing Driver just fine. Last week, he dipped late in the standings and never recovered. Again, it was that final stage which seemed to doom Larson
Still, Larson. is a top pick despite what happened at Martinsville. This may feel odd but the driver has the potential to lead quite a few laps this time around. That sentiment occurs often. He usually is the one pursuing then pulling away on the short tracks with drifting turns. His results speak for themselves but Larson will be on a mission to improve on his 13th place standings in the Cup Series. Kyle Larson is a favorite for a reason at Bristol.
NASCAR Bristol – Joey Logano Worth A Look?
So, here is where the race takes yet another swerve. Why? That is simple. Always bet carefully when making top online future bets. It could be good to think about Joey Logano at Bristol with this philosophy.
After all, the funny thing is there is only one track worth of historical data for this 250-lap race. It goes fast. Last year, Logano was able to survive the carnage and lead more than 60 laps. Again for Logano, he can race this track like a Saturday night drift-a-whirl if you will. The race being only 250 laps (100-100-50) may further help the No. 20 on Sunday night. Logano is the only driver other than Truex Jr. to truly threaten constantly on the Bristol track. Do not look at qualifying and any heats only to see if his numbers lengthen slightly. Overall, Logano performs well here because he views this as Martinsville and Bristol crossed together plus the dirt added of course.
2022 NASCAR Bristol Outlook
After what happened in Martinsville, NASCAR Bristol will be blinding quick . The 250 lap race goes only a bit over 130 miles. The Bristol track should be cool for racing with the dirt. The only question will inevitably be any weather concerns and how the dirt dries between Saturday and Sunday.
Some notables like William Byron (+1200) and Alex Bowman (+1450) should see their fortunes boosted this week. Both Hendrick drivers expect to finish in the top-ten as this track usually devolves into a Hendrick-JGR-Penske battle for supremacy. The feeling is that Hendrick and Penske have an edge again with the Next-Gen car. Byron finds ways to win much like Bowman just that Byron is hair more consistent.
This race will be a fascinating battle to see if JGR can bounce back after an iffy race at Martinsville. Granted, Kyle Busch finished in the top-ten along with his brother but they never contended for a win. Martin Truex Jr. was not there during the final laps and Denny Hamlin was not either. This may happen again in some form on Sunday night.
