With there being a three-week gap in the Nascar Cup Series, now is the ideal time to take a look at what’s left of the season, and how the outright winner betting is looking.
The last race was the Foxwoods Resort Resort Casino 301 at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway course. Aric Almirola pulled off a shock victory in his Ford, with none of the main contenders finishing in the top 5.
We now have a three-week gap to the next race at the Watkins Glen International (The Glen) on 8th August.

Who is the Current Points table leader?
The current table shows Denny Hamlin to be the points leader. Hamlin is on 874 points after 22 starts. He sits 13 points ahead of second-placed Kyle Larson.
Despite their point positions, top sportsbooks have Larson to be the Cup Series winner favorite ahead of Hamlin.
Kyle Larson is +260, which is some way clear of his closest betting rival, Chase Elliott, who is at a cool-looking +650.
Elliott sits 5th in the points table, which is also his predicted finish. He has 736 points, which is a massive 138 behind the rear brake lights of Hamlin’s Toyota.
Third in the points table is William Byron, who is 125 points behind Hamlin. Byron doesn’t even figure in the Nascar betting with the favorites. He is well down the order and can be backed at +1400 to be the champion.
Behind Larson and Elliott in the current Nascar Betting odds sits a trio of drivers all on +800. In this cluster, we have Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, and Martin Truex Jr.
After that, we see the names of Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski. These two can be picked up at odds of +1000.

Why is Kyle Larson such a Hot Favorite?
After reading the above and seeing that Denny Hamlin is the top points scorer, you might ask why is Kyle Larson the favorite to win with all top sportsbooks?
The reason is that he has simply been the most dominant driver across the season. Also, the circuits that are to be used in the Nascar play-offs will suit him.
His Chevrolet car has also performed well. A stat that is backed up with the performances of fellow Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott and William Byron.
Larson has had the most wins this season, with four top positions on a podium. He has led for the most laps this season (1441), and he also has the most stage wins (12) this season.
Put simply, Larson in the Hendrick Motorsport’s Chevrolet is just the complete package, and most likely to win.
Another example of just how well Larson has done this season is shown in the new contract Hendrick Motorsports gave him just last month. They extended his stay for another 12 months, keeping him in the Chevrolet until 2023.
Back Larson To Win
As ever with these sorts of events there is a lot of unknowns. A car can break down at the crucial moment, or a mechanic can make a mistake in the pits, etc. But on the whole, and from what we’ve seen so far, the red hot pick is Kyle Larson.
It’s because of these unknowns that we can still get to back him with a + sign in front of his odds. And in fairness, the unknowns are another good reason to use to bet on him using sign-up bonuses.
If you are to take the +260 available on Larson to be crowned the Nascar Cup Series Champion, you won’t want your money tied up in a futures wager that won’t materialize until the start of November.
Use Sign-Up Bonuses to Bet on Nascar
This is the time to take advantage of one of the many excellent sign-up bonuses offered by the best sportsbooks. Using these offers you can get a free play to use on one of your futures bets on Nascar, or any other sports events for that matter.
The best bonus for this is a match bonus. A match bonus is where the sportsbook matches your first bet after you sign up and place a bet. Basically, you get a free bet credit of the same amount as your first bet.
So for example, you sign up with a bookmaker, place a wager of $100, and get a free bet credit of $100 to use straight away on an event of your choice.
You then use your free bet credit to wager a future bet on Kyle Larson to be Cup Series champion, and you haven’t used 1 cent of your cash. If it wins, you get paid out in November. If it loses, you’ve lost nothing (assuming your opening bet won).
