Betting Predictions For NASCAR Charlotte Playoff

Five — that’s the number of races remaining in the 2021 NASCAR betting Cup Series. You think the stakes aren’t high this weekend? Of course they are, but not merely for the drivers, but bettors too. To help you navigate through this tricky postseason race, we’ve compiled our best predictions for NASCAR Charlotte playoff event.

Online sportsbooks have odds for the Bank of America Roval 400 in Charlotte. While every driver in the competition has a betting line to win, the six featured underneath currently have the best odds to win outright. The lines aren’t nearly as lopsided as the most recent playoff run in Talladega, which had favorites as high as +900. As you can see, Chase Elliott is an overwhelming front-runner at +220.

2021 Bank of America Roval 400 Preview

This is NASCAR’s second pit stop in Charlotte this year — but it’ll be nothing like the first go-round. That event, the Coca Cola 400, was won by Kyle Larson in the dark and in a traditional speedway track. This upcoming Sunday, we’re having ourselves a little road race. It’s officially a 109-lap race around the 17-turn, 2.28-mile “roval” of the speedway (aka the interior road course).

This is the sixth and final road track of the NASCAR season (also the only one in the playoff picture). Here are the drivers that have won the previous five road races this season: Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, Chase Eliott (again), Kyle Larson (again), and AJ Allmendinger. Given that, it’s no wonder why Elliott and Larson are such staggering favorites.

Charlotte also marks the final race of the Round of 12 stage. At the conclusion of this event, the bottom-four drivers in the playoff standings will be eliminated from Cup Series contention. The drivers facing elimination at the moment (ordered from 9th to 12th) are Kurt Busch, Tyler Reddick, Aric Almirola, and Michael McDowell. So you know those four will feel an extra kick to place high and avoid elimination.

Speaking of motivation, the only driver guaranteed into the Round of 8 is Denny Hamlin, who captured the checkered flag two weeks ago in Las Vegas. The recent ‘Dega winner, Bubba Wallace, isn’t in the playoff picture so the result bears nothing on the standings. With the big victory, Hamlin is currently atop the playoff standings with a whopping 3116 points. The next drivers closest to him are Larson and Joey Logano, who each have 3096 points to their name.

Best Bets To Make For 2021 Bank of America Race

Honestly, we’re split on who to bet here. That’s why we’re advising you to just bet both drivers we’re favoring and let the better man win. Because honestly, you really can’t go wrong with these next two drivers.

Chase Elliott

NASCAR is a wild sport. You rarely see drivers with circa +200 odds to win outright. That should give you a hint at how advantageous this road track is to Elliott, the +220 frontrunner. Simply put, Elliott owns this track.

You see, Eliott has won the past two roval events. And for what it’s worth, the road event has only been a thing for three years (the first year was won by Ryan Blaney). So yes, Elliott is the most accomplished driver on this track and that commands a wager. Seriously, if you can only make one bet, it HAS to be Elliott given his winning pedigree here.

Kyle Larson

Yep, we’re also backing Larson. We know what you’re thinking, “betting the two favorites, oh, how brave of you.” We hear you, and sure maybe it’s not a “sexy” strategy, but it’s the smart one. Outside of Elliott, the best road track driver in NASCAR right now is Larson, hence why he’s won twice already in 2021.

So make two separate bets. One on Elliott to win and one on Larson. Say you bet $100 on each, at these betting prices, you’d still make a pretty penny. Say Elliot wins, that’s a $120 profit for you. But if Larson prevails, then you’re $350 in the green.
