The Los Angeles Clippers look to bounce back after an unexpected loss against the Magic, when they visit the current champions, Miami Heat, this Thursday at 7 PM ET at the American Airlines Arena.
The Clippers lost 98-90 in Orlando as they couldn’t find comfortable shots all night.
“We win games, we score 100 or whatever points, that’s always fool’s gold,” said LAC coach Doc Rivers. “Our offense is always fool’s gold. You’ve got to defend to win.”
Los Angeles had a 3 game winning streak before that loss on Wednesday; they are the number one scoring team in the NBA with 113.2 points as an average per night, but they are also death last allowing 109.6.
The Clippers needs to play some defense against Miami tonight; otherwise they’ll be in trouble. The Heat is 3-2 this season with two of their three wins coming at home.
“I try to get better each and every season, try to get better at every aspect of the game, step outside my comfort zone,” Lebron James says. “You know, things that I may not have done the year before, that I wasn’t comfortable with, and get better at it, and be the best player I can be.” When someone says he must be running out of things to improve, he arches an eyebrow on that wide Aztec sculpture of a face. “Oh, is that right?”.
The betting odds have the Heat as 5 points favorites over the Clippers. LAC is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games when playing on the road against Miami.
