Week 23 of the 2022 NBA season kicked off on Monday and the race for a spot in the 2022 NBA playoffs is heating up. At this point in the season, every game is an important one for teams in the hunt for the 2022 NBA title. Below we take a look at two of the most important games on the schedule for tonight, Tuesday, March 22, 2022.
Chicago vs. Milwaukee
- Date & Location: Tuesday, March 22 at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, WI
- Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
- How to Watch: Bally Sports WI, NBC Sports Chicago, NBA League Pass
An important Eastern Conference game takes place tonight, when the Chicago Bulls travel to Wisconsin to face the Milwaukee Bucks. Chicago is the No. 5 team in the East, while the Bucks check in at No. 2.
Milwaukee is playing well. In their last 10 games, the defending NBA champions have put together an 8-2 record. Chicago is heading in the opposite direction. The Bulls are 2-8 in their 10 most recent outings and are riding a three-game losing skid.
The Bucks are being led by Giannis Antetokounmpo. Antetokounmpo is in the race for the MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in 2022. He is also competing for the scoring title. Antetokounmpo is tied for first in scoring with Joel Embiid of the 76ers and LeBron James of the Lakers with 29.8 points per game. Antetokounmpo did not play Saturday due to a knee soreness.
Chicago‘s lack of defense is hurting the team. They are currently the No. 20 defensive team in the NBA, but they are scheduled to get some help in that department as Patrick Williams will make his return to the club after being sidelined with a wrist injury early in the season.
Pick: Milwaukee to beat Chicago.
Los Angeles Clippers vs. Denver
- Date & Location: Tuesday, March 22 at Ball Arena in Denver, CO
- Time: 10:00 p.m. ET
- How to Watch: TNT, Bally Sports SoCal
The Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets remain in the playoff race, but both teams need to make up some ground. The Clippers are the No. 8 team in the Western Conference, while The Nuggets are just above them at No. 7. Los Angeles has a record of 36-37 and Denver is 42-30. Tonight’s meeting between the clubs is the fourth time they have matched up this season. The Nuggets are up 2-1 in the series, but the past two games between these squads have been determined by two points in each meeting.
Los Angeles is 4-6 in its past 10 games and riding a three-game losing skid. Denver is 6-4 in its last 10 games. They have lost their two most recent matchups.
The Clippers last played on March 18, so they should be well rested for tonight’s game against Denver. That time off will allow the team to focus on the issues that are keeping the club from getting a win.
The Nuggets lost to Boston on Sunday by a score of 124-104. Reports after the game indicate the DeMarcus Cousins let the team know that its effort in that game and previous outings was unacceptable.
Pick: Denver to beat Los Angeles Clippers.
