Miami HeatTBATBATBATBATBA
Philadelphia 76ersTBATBATBATBATBA

The top two teams in the NBA’s Eastern Conference meet for the fourth time this season when the Miami Heat head up I95 to face the Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center. Miami holds a 2-1 series lead over the 76ers in the 2022 NBA season series. March 5 was the most recent meeting between these teams and the Heat downed Philly by a score of 99-82 in Miami.

The Heat and the 76ers are rolling right now. As of this writing, both teams are on 7-3 runs and on two-game winning streaks. Miami is at the top of the East with a 47-24 record. Philly trails the Heat with 43 wins and 26 losses.

Miami could be without Jimmy Butler on Monday. Butler missed Friday’s game against the Thunder and did not play the full game against Detroit on Tuesday. An ankle injury has Butler on the day-to-day list. Tyler Herro helped Miami get wins in those two games, putting up 29 and 26 points in those contests.

Joel Embiid leads the NBA in scoring this season and is making a big push for the MVP award. Embiid also might miss Monday’s game. He played through a sore back on Wednesday and Friday in wins over Cleveland and Dallas. Despite his back bothering him, Embiid put up 35 and 32 points in those games. In his past six games, Embiid has averaged nearly 34 points per game.

James Harden is finding his place in Philly. He has double-digit assists in his last three games and is averaging 22.9 points per game with the 76ers.

Brooklyn NetsTBATBATBATBATBA

It’s the No. 4 team in the Western Conference vs. the No. 8 team in the Eastern Conference tonight in Brooklyn when the Jazz head to New York to face the Nets.

Utah sports a 44-26 record and are on a 6-4 run in their past 10 games. The team is on a two-game winning streak heading into its matchup against the Nets.

Brooklyn has a record of 37-34. The Nets are 5-5 in their past 10 games and coming off a 128-123 win over Portland.

Donovan Mitchell, the leading scorer for the Jazz, missed Friday’s game against the Clippers with a calf injury. He is expected to be in the lineup for the Brooklyn game. Mitchell has averaged 28.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists in his past four games.

Kevin Durant has looked good for the Nets since coming back from a knee injury on March 3. He is averaging 30 points per game since his return and has double-doubles in two of those outings.

The Jazz defeated Brooklyn 125-102 in their previous meeting in the 2022 NBA season. Mitchell scored 27 points in that game, while Durant did not play.
