By far, the best game of the week in the NBA features the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Clippers clashing at the Staples Center, this Wednesday at 10:30 PM ET.
While the Thunder is the second seed in the West, the Clippers are trying to steal that spot and win tonight will help a lot.
“It’s just every game’s important as far as I’m concerned,” Los Angeles coach Doc Rivers said. “You just want to keep winning and you just want to do that. It’s nice to win and guys have relatively low minutes, so that was good.”
The Thunder beat the Kings on Tuesday as Kevin Durant streak scoring 25 points or more ended in 41 games; he finished the game in Sacramento with 23 points.
“I was getting so many texts after every game. I’m glad that’s over with and we can just focus on the team,” said Durant. “If we played well and I had 25 points, that took away from how well the team was playing, so I didn’t like that. If we lost, it was all about me scoring 25 points and I didn’t like that either. I’m glad we can just talk about the team now.”
Clippers lead the season series against the Thunder 2-1; the last time they met on February 23rd Los Angeles won at OKC 125-177 covering the spread as underdogs. The Clippers are 3 point favorites in the NBA odds for this matchup against the Thunder.
