NBA Finals – Spurs Visit The Heat In Game One

The Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs will clash in the NBA Finals not only for the championship, but also to set once and for all who’s the real and better ‘Big 3’. Game one of the NBA Finals is this Thursday at 9 PM ET at the American Airlines Arena.

heat vs spursTeams with home field advantage are 50-16 in Game 1 (75.8%), in NBA Finals history; that’s mean Miami is the best bet for Thursday night.  However, in terms of matchups San Antonio might be able to win the series.

“I have something in me that they took in ’07; beat us on our home floor, celebrated on our home floor,” Lebron James said. “I won’t forget that. You shouldn’t as a competitor. You should never forget that.

“It’s the same group of guys, for the most part. The same Big Three, and Coach [Gregg] Pop[ovich]. And I look forward to the challenge once again”, he added.

Lebron James can’t be guarded by anybody in the league, and San Antonio doesn’t have a guy that can’t even bother him, but the rest of the matchups are pretty good for the Spurs.

Fox example Dwayne Wade is the second best player in Miami, but Manu Ginobili can take him.  The Argentinean is a sharp defender that can score and run the offense when he’s on the floor.

San Antonio averages five rebounds more than Miami per game in the playoffs, and they have bigger and better players near the glass. Tim Duncan and Thiago Splitter could be a difficult matchup for Chris Bosh.

Also, there is no one on the Heat roster than can guard Tony Parker, and that’s a mismatch you don’t want when you face the Spurs.

Take the Heat to win game one -5 but bet San Antonio to win the series at +180.
