NBA Friday Odds – Nets at Suns

The Phoenix Suns will try to stay undefeated at home when they visit the Brooklyn Nets, this Friday at 9 PM ET at the US Airways Center, in an interesting NBA matchup.

nets-vs-sunsThe Suns are coming off a loss against Blazers, but they have looked better than expected in the season; coach Jeff Hornacek is teaching to play good defense every night while maximizing their skills on offense.

“We’re a young team. This is a very good team,” Hornacek said. “They’ve been playing extremely well and for us to have a couple missed tips at the buzzer to win it, our guys are battling, and that’s what we hope for at the start of the season, getting those chances.”

Phoenix is-7-0-1 against the spread this season, and they have been money in the bank.  Brooklyn is a different story; they are 2-5 both straight up and against the spread.

The Nets have disappointed on every level, especially considering the amount of talent they own. “It’s unacceptable,” new coach Jason Kidd said. “We don’t score, we hang our heads and then they score on the other end.”

“Clearly in our losses we let go of the rope on the defensive end and whenever you do that it’s not going to work in this league,” said Kidd, “no matter who you play.”

The NBA betting odds have the Nets as 1 point favorites for Friday Night, and the game total is at 195.  Five of the last six meetings between these two ended over the game total.
