Knicks vs. 76ers
Coming off a home-and-home with the Orlando Magic, the Knicks have enjoyed a strong start to the season in year two under Tom Thibodeau. New York opened its campaign with a 138-134 double-overtime victory over the Boston Celtics last Wednesday night. Evan Fournier hit the go-ahead triple in the final minute against his former team, finishing with 32 points, the most ever by a Knicks player in their team debut.
Meanwhile, Philadelphia continues to get by without disgruntled point guard Ben Simmons, with 76ers GM Darryl Morey indicating the saga will go on “for a long time.”
Daryl Morey says the Sixers are only willing to trade Ben Simmons if they can get a difference maker in return.

“Right now (with) any sort of trade, which obviously Ben Simmons wants, the best thing we can do is get role players,” said Morey. “That makes no sense, that will give us no better chance to win a title if we were to move Ben Simmons for role players.”
The Sixers swept the season series (3-0) with the Knicks last year, but with all the drama surrounding this Philly team, expect New York to get a win in front of the fans at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.
Jazz vs. Nuggets
The Jazz (-300) are heavy favorites to win the Northwest over their divisional-rivals in Denver (+325). Reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets started the year strong with an impressive 110-98 road victory over the Phoenix Suns in their season-opener, but have to travel to Salt Lake City on short-rest after hosting the Cavaliers on Monday night.
Utah opened the 2021-22 campaign with a home win against the lowly Oklahoma City Thunder. Out of action since Friday night’s game with the Sacramento Kings, expect the dynamic duo of Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell to be rested and ready for this one.

These two franchises only played three times in last year’s shortened season (with Utah winning twice), but Denver enjoyed a seven-game series victory over the Jazz in the first-round of the 2020 playoffs.
While the Nuggets are a strong bet to win the Northwest, we like a rested Jazz team to take care of business on Tuesday night.
