The Oklahoma City Thunder were caught off guard by the Memphis Grizzlies in game two, now game three could decide the faith of the series when they meet this Thursday at 8 PM ET, at the Fedex Forum.
The Grizzlies winning at OKC was no surprise if you deep into it; they finished the regular season winning the last 14 games in a row.
“It’s going to be tough against a team that’s played so well, especially on the road,” Grizzlies Mike Conley said Wednesday of the Thunder. “But we’re happy with our position, I can tell you that much.”
“Our team is a team that can’t play too far from behind because we play a certain style of basketball, and it’s tough,” Grizzlies forward Mike Miller said. “Our starts are big for us. They do have some pressure. They have some expectations.”
OKC is built to win on the road, but playing at Memphis obligated to win is a different scenario than they expected to have.
“Everybody’s going to be there. They’re going to have T-shirts. They’re going to be swinging towels,” Kevin Durant said. “It’s the playoffs. It’s going to be hostile, but we’ve been there before.”
OKC is a 2 point favorite in the NBA odds despite playing away from home. The game total is at 190 points.
The Thunder is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite, but 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games as a road favorite. The Grizzlies are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games as a home favorite.
