The Gamecocks have a conference play record of 18-1 in the SEC. They are on a winning streak of seven and finished the regular season with a 15-1 conference play record and 27-3 overall.
Its overall record now sits at 30-3 after the Gamecocks reeled off three more victories to win the SEC Tournament for a third successive season.
Seeded No.1, the Gamecocks started with an 84-63 win over Vanderbilt in the quarterfinals. Another comfortable win followed in the semifinals with South Carolina defeating No.5 Oklahoma 93-75.
No.2 seed Texas stood between the Gamecocks and another tournament win. But they were no match for Dawn Staley’s team, with South Carolina winning 64-45. Chloe Kitts led the way with 15 points and nine rebounds.
TN Tech
The No. 16 Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles finished the regular season first in the Ohio Valley points table. They had an 18-2 regular-season record in conference play.
The Golden Eagles are 26-5 overall and on a 17-match winning streak. The winning streak includes an 88-78 win over Southern Indiana in the Ohio Valley Tournament semifinal and an 82-76 overtime win against Lindenwood in the final.
Reghan Grimes was the star performer in the win with 23 points and six rebounds. She will need a repeat performance if the Golden Eagles are to make it to the second round of the competition.
South Carolina vs. TN Tech Betting Picks
The South Carolina Gamecocks don’t want to become victims of a March Madness upset. We say they won’t, but it’s very hard to justify backing the Gamecocks to cover a spread of 43.5 points.
TN Tech is on a winning streak of 17, confidence will be high, and they know they have nothing to lose.
