The 2021-22 college basketball season rolls on with a slew of matchups on Tuesday night. For bettors looking for action, we have some free-of-cost advice to point you in the right direction. Read our best NCAAB bets of November 30, 2021 for expert advice on our favorite wagers.
Against The Spread: No. 1 Duke Blue Devils at Ohio State Buckeyes
Team | ![]() |
|
Duke spread (-2) | -110 | -110 |
Ohio State spread (+2) | -110 | -110 |
Among the top NCAAB betting sites, this Duke-Ohio State matchup might be the most bet-on game of the entire night. The Blue Devils, fresh off toppling the previously No. 1-rated Zags, are a meager two-point favorites on the spread when they visit the Buckeyes inside the friendly confines of Columbus. Ohio.
We’re actually surprised how close the betting line is. Not because we don’t respect Ohio State on their home floor (we most certainly do), but they’re just banged up right now. Buckeyes will continue to be without seniors Justice Sueing and Seth Towns, as well as sophomore Eugene Brown III. Playing Duke is tough as it is, little less without those key contributors in the lineup.
Speaking of which, it’s tough to bet against the Blue Devils on the heels of that victory over Gonzaga. It was a heavyweight fight between the two powerhouse programs, but Duke scored the knockout. In that game, Paolo Banchero shined brighter than the Bulldog’s Chet Holmgren and poured 21 points. Banchero is very likely the best college player in the nation this season and that obviously means something. So yes, we’re taking the Blue Devils to cover the spread against a depleted Buckeyes squad!
Over/Under 143 Points: Florida State Seminoles at No. 2 Purdue Boilermakers
Team | ![]() |
|
Over 143 Points | -110 | -110 |
Under 143 Points | -110 | -110 |
Right on Duke’s coattails — both in the top-25 rankings and the national title futures odds set by the best online sportsbooks— is Purdue. The Boilermakers have certainly looked the part thus far, with statement wins against Villanova and North Carolina already.
Since we mentioned missing players on the previous pick, we must do the same here. The Seminoles will be without two starters (RayQuan Evans and Tanor Ngom) and a backup big (Naheem Mcleod). The losses of Ngom and Mcleoud will be especially impactful since both are seven-footers that man the paint area for Florida State.
Without the bigs, we believe Purdue will be able to score at will — either by dominating the paint or driving inside and dishing out to an open shooter. In either scenario, Florida State’s injuries will hinder them greatly on the defensive end. Given that, we expect points to fly off the board come Tuesday night, which pushes this game past the over.
Against The Spread: Northwestern State Demons at No. 15 Houston Cougars
Team | ![]() |
|
Northwestern State spread (+33.5) | -110 | -110 |
Houston spread (-33.5) | -110 | -110 |
The against-the-spread line of 33.5 points above is NOT a typo. We typically stay far, far away from these lopsided lines that usually features a ranked team versus a mid-major school, but we couldn’t help ourselves with this Northwestern State-Houston matchup.
We’ll be straight up: the Cougars SHOULD have little problems covering on their home floor. Why? Well, NW State is just as bad as the betting line indicates. Allow us to educate you on them. The Demons play in the highly-respected Southland Conference (yes, that’s Division I and can you hear the sarcasm in our writing?) and are 1-6 on the season. NW State is currently on a four-game losing slide.
If Houston can blow teams out like Oregon (by 20 points), Butler (18), Virginia (20 again), and Rice (33), then they should have little issues with lowly NW State. Don’t fear the large spread and bet on the Cougars with confidence on Tuesday!
Against The Spread: Pepperdine Waves at Nevada Wolf Pack
Team | ![]() |
|
Pepperdine spread (+14.5) | -110 | -110 |
Nevada spread (-14.5) | -110 | -110 |
Another bet, another lopsided spread in the Pepperdine-Nevada meeting. However, unlike the previous one, we’re not sure this one is warranted. Yes, that means we’re taking the Waves to cover the spread!
Here’s why: Pepperdine has shown an ability to hang tough with bigger schools. Look at its recent losses and that’s evident. They lost to Grand Canyon by three, nine points to TCU, and seven to Fresno State. Those teams are all comparable to Nevada in skill level, especially Fresno since they are both in the Mountain West Conference.
Plus, the Wolf Pack have been inconsistent this season. We mean, they have 20-plus-point losses to South Dakota State and Santa Clara this season. They should gut out the victory, but not by 15 points or more.
