Marquee tournaments are now in the rear-view mirror and conference play is either here in college hoops, or it’s right around the corner. That’s certainly the case on Friday night, which is jam-packed with games to wager on. We’ve dug deep to select our best NCAAB bets of December 3, 2021 and we’re giving them to you right here for FREE!
Against The Spread: No. 8 Kansas at St John’s Red Storm
Expect the best online sportsbooks to take a lot of action on this Kansas-St. John’s spread. It’s one of the marquee matchups of the night featuring two NCAA Tournament-caliber teams. Here’s what the current NCAAB betting odds are:
Team | ![]() |
|
Kansas spread (-6.5) | -110 | -110 |
St. Johns spread (+6.5) | -110 | -110 |
There’s a lot to like on both sides. So far, the Jayhawks have lived up to its NCAA title hype, which the most-popular college basketing betting sites are backing with futures betting lines. If not for a one-point loss, Kansas would be undefeated through six games right now. The Johnnies are also 5-1, though this is their biggest test yet.
Both teams deploy a fast-paced offense that likes attacking the rim. The thing is, Kansas is much more prolific at it. According to KenPom, the Jayhawks have the nation’s fifth-most efficient offense at 117.5 points per 100 possessions. In the same stat, the Jonnies are at 108.2. Therefore, betting the over, which is set at 156.5 points per game, might not be a bad idea.
Us, though, we like the spread more. That’s because we believe Kansas will overwhelm St. John’s. You see, the Johnnies have beat up on a bunch of cupcake teams up to this point including the likes of MS Valley, Saint Peter’s, St. Francis BK. Where are these schools located at anyway? Yep, we expect the Jayhawks’ physicality and athleticism to be too much, too fast for the untested Johnnies.
Over/Under 160.5 Points: Iowa Hawkeyes vs. No. 2 Purdue Boilermakers
In the Big Ten, conference play is officially here! In this clash, the 12-point spread doesn’t intrigue us. However, the over/under between Iowa and Purdue does jump out at us. That’s because it’s relatively high, especially given the conference’s reputation for favoring the defense.
Well, remember those KenPom offense efficiency ratings we mentioned before? This game features two teams that rank in the top three offensively across the country. The Boilermakers are currently No. 1 with a 121.4 rating, while the Hawkeyes aren’t far behind at three with 118.0. If you’re in the mood for a scoring frenzy, then this Big 10 game is for you on Friday!
There will be no shortage of playmakers on the court in this game. Iowa’s Keegan Murray is having a Player of the Year-caliber campaign. The forward is averaging 24.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game up to this point. Purdue doesn’t have that one take-over-the-game type player, but they do have as balanced of a roster as anyone in the country. The Boilermakers have seven different players that are averaging at least seven points per game so far.
So you know what bet we’re taking here — the over, without question. Watch this game, bet on it, and get your popcorn ready for an offensive explosion!
Against The Spread: Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Boston College Eagles
Team | ![]() |
|
Notre Dame spread (-4) | -110 | -110 |
Boston College spread (+4) | -110 | -110 |
The ACC kicks into high gear as well with an inter-conference battle between Notre Dame and Boston College. This is one of the closer against-the spread lines of the night involving major programs.
We have to start with the Eagles. New coach Earl Grant has completely — and we mean completely — transformed this team. They play at a snail’s pace, they don’t shoot from beyond the arc, which reads like a recipe for disaster. But so far, it hasn’t been. Boston College is 5-3 thanks to its offensive efficiency. They like to attack the basket and either draw fouls or score high-percentage buckets in the paint.
We have a clear idea of what to expect from the Eagles. The Fighting Irish, though? They’ve been consistently inconsistent, evident by its 3-3 record in 2021. That scares us with them playing on the road versus a much-improved team. We’re taking Boston College and the points here.
Against The Spread: Tulsa Golden Hurricanes at Boise State Broncos
Team | ![]() |
|
Tulsa spread (+8.5) | -110 | -110 |
Boise State spread (-8.5) | -110 | -110 |
We’ll cut right to the chase: we believe Tulsa spread is the bet to make here. Here’s why: the Broncos aren’t all that good at home, surprisingly. They’ve lost two in a row on the home court this season. A year ago, they dropped five of six at home toward the end of the year. Home court disadvantage anyone? Oddsmakers have undervalued the Golden Hurricanes in this one.
