UConn is on a winning streak of ten. The last time they tasted defeat was against Tennessee in early February.
The Huskies finished the regular season with a 92-57 win over Marquette and have since gone on to win the Big East Tournament.
On their way to the title, the Huskies first defeated St. John’s NY 71-40 in the quarterfinals, Villanova 82-54 in the semifinals, and most impressively they beat No.1 seed Creighton 70-50 in the final.
The Huskies are the +275 joint favorite to win the NCAA Championship match.
Arkansas State Red Wolves
The Red Wolves finished the season with a flourish. They are currently on a four-match winning streak.
An 89-85 win over Troy in the final match of the regular season saw them finish second in the Sun Belt with a 15-3 record.
Furthermore, the Red Wolves went on to win the Sun Belt Tournament. They started with an 81-66 win over Troy in the semifinal.
Then the Red Wolves had to face the table-topping No.1 seed James Madison in the final. The Dukes topped the Sun Belt with an 18-0 conference play record.
Nevertheless, the Red Wolves produced their best performance of the season to beat the Dukes in the final.
The scores were level on 70 points each at the end of regular time. But a spectacular overtime showing saw the Red Wolves outscore the Dukes by 16 points to nine to win the match 86-79.
UConn Huskies vs. Arkansas State Betting Picks
The fact that UConn has won by more than this spread four times and came close in two other matches confirms we can’t totally dismiss their chances of covering.
