The number one team in the country, the Syracuse Orange, looks to stay unbeaten as they host the Clemson Tigers, this Sunday at 6 PM ET at the Carrier Dome, in ACC College Basketball matchup.
Syracuse is the only undefeated ranked team left in the nation; they have trouble beating Duke last weekend, but handled Notre Dame pretty well on a Monday 61-55 victory.
“This team just does not seem to be bothered when something doesn’t go in, or if (the other team) makes a 3 to start overtime,” coach Jim Boeheim said of his team. “It just doesn’t seem to bother them. They just come back and make the play.”
Clemson is 15-6 in the season with a 6-3 record against ACC opponents; the Tigers enter this game with two wins in a row after losing two straight.
“I think the past two games we won were very important,” Clemson point guard Rod Hall said. “We were coming off a two-game losing streak and that gave us back some momentum that we can take into the next game.”
“We play a different style of defense and I think we can knock them off stride a bit,” Hall added. “But they’re the number one team for a reason, and we’re going to have to be at our best.”
Syracuse is a 13 point favorite for Sunday in the College Basketball odds; the Orange are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite of 7.0-12.5.
